About The Position

The position involves assisting other manufacturing engineers and production in developing, transitioning, proving out, and executing projects. The engineer will be responsible for product transitions, process/product improvements, solid modeling, technical writing, reporting, data analysis, presentation skills, sales support, and hands-on related duties. The role emphasizes a hands-on approach to engineering, requiring the engineer to engage in various manufacturing processes and support production activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Less than five years of relevant work experience, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and write reports and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts and ability to apply them to engineering tasks.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience with SolidWorks.
  • 2-3 years of experience with LabVIEW.
  • Familiarity with Teams and Oracle Cloud (ERP system).

Responsibilities

  • Aid in and lead transitions from engineering to production using standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Assist with designing fixturing and tooling using solid modeling programs and create dimensioned drawings to GD&T standards.
  • Write and present technical reports and develop procedures for engineering or management personnel.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations and briefings.
  • Support sales through proposal writing, conducting analysis, and generating solutions to customer requirements.
  • Engage in hands-on engineering activities including machining, brazing, welding, and assembly work.
  • Set up tests and analyze test data to determine if designs meet specifications.
