Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing).

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and Lean manufacturing principles and tools such as Kaizen, Standard Work, and Hoshin Kanri.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products and technologies from bid and proposal through hand-off to production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure manufacturability and quality of new products.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety and quality.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, etc. in support of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturing reviews to provide feedback on manufacturability and process improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action activities for manufacturing issues.
