About The Position
Whippany Actuation Systems is a dynamic aerospace company that designs and manufactures electromechanical actuators and control electronics for commercial and military applications. We are a fully integrated manufacturing company that takes responsibility for the success of our business and acts quickly to implement new ideas and projects to ensure company growth. We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for the manufacturing process design, including standard work methods, graphic work instructions, machine programming, and tool and fixture design. In this role, you will typically develop manufacturing methods and tooling, lead lean initiatives including effective utilization of Six Sigma tools, and provide definition for capital investments related to manufacturing process improvements and automation. You will also provide manufacturing process support to production areas acting as the technical representative and the design engineering liaison. Additionally, you will effectively analyze product and process designs for the purpose of waste elimination, continuous improvement, and productivity initiatives, ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet or exceed site environmental health and safety guidelines.
