Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs and related software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organization and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical thinker.

Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality.
  • Design new products and processes.
  • Ensure cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data.
  • Develop detailed layouts for workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements.
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products.
  • Establish routings for new products and maintain existing routings.
  • Lead and participate in the review process on products with manufacturing cost overruns.
  • Review routings, inspection procedures, bills of material, packaging, and prints for consistency.
  • Design and recommend layouts and product flows in production shops.
  • Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Project ownership including project initiation and planning.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing methods.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services.
  • Conduct engineering assignments to develop new methods, tooling and machine concepts.
