About The Position

We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our company's manufacturing operation in Raymond, Mississippi. Hunter Engineering is the global industry-leader in wheel alignment systems, wheel balancing systems, vehicle inspection systems, and more. Hunter equipment, made in America, is approved, and used by vehicle manufacturers, tire companies, and dealers in over 130 countries. We seek a talented manufacturing engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes at our Raymond, MS operations. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment required.
  • Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven Project Management experience.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience performing DFMA events and assisting with NPIs.
  • AutoCAD LT.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cycle time analysis to find and execute throughput improvement projects.
  • Assist with capital and tooling analysis, strategies, justification, and acquisitions.
  • Capacity planning and strategy development for manufacturing processes.
  • Review assembly operations, component designs, and corresponding details to verify manufacturing feasibility.
  • Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for throughput optimization.
  • Participate in discovery and deployment of capital equipment projects.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers at all manufacturing sites.
  • Investigate new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
  • Capacity resource planning.
  • Oversee tooling and equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
  • Assist NPIs (DFMA).
  • Develop plant layouts, material flows, and infrastructure needs.
  • Provides technical support for specific plant operations.
  • Ensure that manufacturing has accurate and detailed information on specifications to produce the part.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
