About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer position at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems involves providing engineering support for manufacturing processes, particularly in material dispensing and product cleaning. The role focuses on maintaining complex manufacturing equipment, developing process instructions, and ensuring compliance with engineering change requests. The engineer will collaborate with various technical teams to enhance production efficiency and uphold high standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

• Knowledge of adhesive, gasket, wash, and/or coating dispensing equipment and processes.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work overtime and during off-days as required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
• Familiarity with industry specifications IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP tools like SAP.
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for material dispensing and product cleaning.
• Implement and maintain complicated manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and maintain process instructions and support root cause determination.
• Take responsibility for actions assigned by Operational Excellence teams.
• Research and implement Engineering Change Requests for production products.
• Interface with technical counterparts in other organizations.
