We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve the naval production sector, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts. The factories-as-a-service team analyzes our current customers' production and supply chain challenges, builds data-driven presentations, designs and scopes factories of the future, and assists the Federal and Strategic sales team in forming long-term partnerships with the DOD, Primes, and other manufacturers. This team is responsible for scoping, design, cost, schedule, and technology analysis, as well as proposals for major programs and manufacturing transformations across all manufacturing methods and domains. With several major programs in flight, we are hiring rapidly for this team that will effectively analyze, design, scope, plan, and handover (or join) execution of large-scale manufacturing efforts. The Role: This role will oversee drawing reviews, capital expenditure planning, and automation feedback for Tube Bending as part of the Factories as a Service team. The Hadrian Factories as a Service team works across all manufacturing methods, and this role is expected to be the Lead Engineer for scoping, designing, planning, and automation feedback for Tube Bending across all material types and configurations. You’ll be able to review drawings for manufacturability rapidly, select the right CapEx for part numbers and assemblies, advise our automation team on Tube Bending best practices, and have a deep working knowledge of production and inspection methods for Tube Bending. This role will both assist in building new factories for existing production scope, as well as contribute to the manufacturing processes of new products where Tube Bending is a designed-in function. We are looking for individuals who can analyze drawings at a technical level, but are also capable of planning Tube Bending lines or factories from scratch. We are interviewing at all levels.

Requirements

  • SME with deep expertise in Tube Bending production and inspection
  • Able to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities
  • Able to analyse DFM, and design/plan production and inspection lines for Tube Bending
  • Prior experience standing up new Tube Bending lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains
  • Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Software or automation experience is not required, but helpful
  • Working knowledge of Tube Bending technology and CapEx

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of Tube Bending DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines
  • Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts
  • Deliver cost, schedule, and solutions in partnership with our customers and the Federal team.
  • Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing
