The Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Training) position is a part-time role at Heil Environmental, located in Fort Payne, AL. The intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities departments with project work aimed at developing training materials. This role involves hands-on work in the factory and requires the intern to document manufacturing processes, prepare capital spend project justifications, perform plant and equipment layouts, gather and analyze data, conduct process time studies, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and recommend process improvements. The position may require up to 50% travel to Birmingham, AL, and Watertown, SD.
