Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Required experience in machining processes including turning, milling and grinding.
  • Experience processing aerospace materials including nickel and titanium.
  • Experience in process planning, PFMEAs, control plans, and MSAs.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience with rotating hardware, IBRs, fan/compressor airfoils.
  • Experience with new capital equipment projects.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with MRL (manufacturing readiness levels) and project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate components to identify the root cause for missed deliveries and work with the IPT and producers to plan and implement corrective actions.
  • Travel to mod centers and suppliers to walk the process and build relationships.
  • Collaborate with mod centers and suppliers to identify producibility issues, resulting in missed deliveries.
  • Provide clear communication to IPT and TF33 Leadership on manufacturing challenges, action plans, and risks.
  • Identify and execute manufacturing improvements and product definition changes that will improve part yield and reduce COPQ.
  • Identify manufacturing risks and create mitigation plans.
  • Extension of the Product ME and Process ME which may include creation of PFMEAs, creation of control plans, completion of MSAs, creation of work instructions, development of new processes, and tracking part yield.
