About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving pretreatment product quality, reducing the scrap rate in the pretreatment production process, and enhancing output. This role involves analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, developing and optimizing production workflows, and supporting new equipment installation and process validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, layouts, and standard work.
• Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and downtime.
• Support the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth transition into mass production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Other duties as assigned.
