About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Technician position in Swedesboro, NJ involves assisting in the design, development, and testing of manufacturing processes. The role requires monitoring and optimizing production processes for efficiency and quality, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, and collaborating with engineers to implement new manufacturing technologies and methods. The technician will collect and analyze data to identify areas for process improvements, develop and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures, and support production teams in achieving manufacturing goals and timelines. Additionally, the technician will train and assist operators on new equipment and processes while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • ERP experience with overlooking labor/machine hours, BOM's, Routings, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Associate Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or technician role.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and control systems is preferred.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Soldering and Welding is preferred.
