About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the successful production of complex systems. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for driving program excellence above the shop‑floor capacity, leading production‑line validations, creating and maintaining Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs), and advancing manufacturing excellence at our make sites and suppliers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop or mature manufacturing readiness assessments and create manufacturing plans. Conduct make‑or‑buy analyses. Present at design and manufacturing reviews. Transition new or revised designs from development to production. Identify production risks and implement mitigation plans. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven record of influencing production processes through process improvement initiatives
  • Strong project- and time-management skills to effectively coordinate multiple concurrent activities and deliver results on tight program schedules.
  • Demonstrated effective communication & interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation) and relationship‑building with customers, suppliers, and internal disciplines
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

  • Evaluate the design activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
  • Proven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality and/or safety
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
  • Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and LM shop(s)
