About The Position

WEEKEND SHIFT for Ocala operations team supporting the 3X12 Fri-Sun shift plus an additional 4 hours to be coordinated with your manager. You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the Ocala Operations supporting final assembly. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑mix, high‑volume electronic assemblies, circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electromechanical products. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for developing and executing manufacturing processes that drive quality, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans for electronic, cable, harness, and electromechanical assemblies. Create tooling, support equipment, and process flows using drafting and software tools. Provide technical guidance to operators and troubleshoot assembly performance. Apply lean principles to reduce cost and increase yields. Investigate root causes of failures and drive corrective actions. Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college, or related military experience in addition to previously listed degree options.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with a bachelors or 2+ years of professional experience with a Masters
  • Previous manufacturing engineering and lean principles experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NRE projects and new engineering builds and designs.
  • Experience with writing repair instructions for Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Green Belt Trained in Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma
  • CCA manufacturing experience in accordance with specifications IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, 508- 11-61 and IPC-WHMA-A-620
  • Cable and Harness manufacturing experience
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with Non-Reoccurring Engineering
  • Ability to lead and train peers
  • Familiarity with Windchill
  • Detail oriented personality
  • Excellent process development and documentation skills. (MS Office)
  • Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback)
  • Ability to use CAD software (Creo and AutoCAD preferred)
