About The Position

Provide technical and production support for all SMT processes and equipment. Support and assist PCBA personnel by being the subject matter expert on all the machines. Able to operate all SMT equipment. Capable of working with Valor ODB++ and Gerber files.

Requirements

  • Electrical or related Engineering degree with 3 years of experience or a minimum 7 years of experience manufacturing PCBAs, SMT processes, SMT programming, in contract manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Experience using software to generate machine code to run SMT pick and place tools.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • Experience with Juki SMT equipment and Koh Young inspection tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PCBA group by resolving problems that arise in the SMT process including solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, SPI, x-ray inspection, AOI, Automated Storage, depanel, PCBA Wash, Ionic Tester and selective solder.
  • Job duties may also include machine operation, setup, training, and helping operators on machine operation and setup, and ensuring proper program performance and efficiency.
  • Assist in creating work Instructions as well as provide redlines and/or updates.
  • Assist in any new tool design required to support the PCBA group by developing tooling concepts.
  • Assist on the qualification of new SMT equipment and on the validation of new PCBAs.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and disposition product that has failed.
