As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a key player in improving plant operations - optimizing production processes, driving cost efficiency, and elevating product quality. You'll collaborate across departments to implement lean manufacturing strategies, refine workflows, and deliver measurable performance results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering (plastics experience highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of process optimization, equipment specification, and automation is required.
  • Experience with Application Engineering, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis preferred.
  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) design software.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner daily with production and quality teams to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance workflow, process design, and productivity.
  • Define and control production processes - including documentation, tooling, and equipment specifications.
  • Design and maintain product specifications, ensuring accurate BOMs and routing in the ERP system.
  • Analyze test and production data to identify trends and recommend process optimizations.
  • Lead quality and productivity initiatives using tools such as FMEA, DOE, and statistical analysis.
  • Support capital improvement projects and automation initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Establish and maintain testing criteria to ensure compliance with ISO 9000, customer, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure component quality and consistency.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope.
