The Manufacturing Engineer position is critical to the success of our division, which has a rich history of over 100 years in developing highly engineered products and innovations. This division serves a diverse range of industries and product applications, and since January 2014, we have expanded our workforce significantly, hiring over 200 new operators and numerous professional associates at various levels. Our commitment to building a world-class team has been a key factor in our ongoing success. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will primarily support our multiple spindle automatic screw machines, which are essential to our manufacturing processes. Candidates should possess direct experience with various screw machine brands, including Acme, Davenport, Tornos Deco, New Britain, Index, Gildemeister, Schutte, ZPS, Euroturn, and Wickman. The responsibilities include processing new products, troubleshooting, and providing support for shop floor operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing form, shave, drilling, cut-off, and custom special cutting tools. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing layouts, tooling packages, and setup instructions. Experience in specifying cams, gears, collets, machine attachments, thread rolls, and cutting tools is essential. Proficiency in CAD software for designing tooling and formal process layouts is required, along with experience in troubleshooting and debugging mechanical, tooling, and machining issues. Familiarity with CNC programming of CNC slides is also preferred, as is knowledge of CNC turning or rotary transfer machines alongside automatic screw machines.
