As a Press/Automation Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for design, implementation, and optimization of press and automation systems for our manufacturing operations. This shall include the integration of new technologies with an emphasis on innovative solutions for automating various manufacturing processes into traditional business functions for our stamping facilities. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing engineering projects where creativity and initiative are involved as well as some independent judgement. This role requires you to be skilled in machinery, equipment, and tooling alternatives along with sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to manufacture parts. In this role, you would be responsible for working with other team members on problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives daily to achieve operational excellence. This position is responsible for defining requirements, execution of design, analysis, development, and testing of engineering projects for our stamping facilities. You will also be required to provide technical directions over other engineers or engineering support personnel and may have work direction responsibilities over a small group with specific engineering objectives both at supplier build shops and stamping facilities.
