Pratt & Whitney’s Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead projects for New Product Introductions and have responsibility for manufacture of experimental engine hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the newest products and manufacturing technologies being designed and developed at Pratt & Whitney. Candidate selected will be responsible for planning and development of manufacturing processes for new experimental engine hardware and progression of first parts through manufacturing and delivery. Some projects will require transitioning these new parts into full production capability. Work with new product design engineers during conceptual design phase through detail design and ultimately initial hardware manufacture. NPI ME will utilize MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) methods to ensure product design meets cost and producibility goals while still meeting engine program technical requirements. Support of experimental hardware manufacture will be both within P&W and at selected development suppliers.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with machining processes (Milling, turning, grinding)
  • Processing aerospace materials including nickel and titanium alloys
  • Process planning and development.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities and work in high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work with others in a professional manner to achieve required goals.
  • Manage multiple requirements in parallel
