  • Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions.
  • Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes.
  • Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, analyze production performance metrics, and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4 plus years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or new product introduction (NPI).
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in a high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and engineering documentation systems (e.g., PLM tools like Agile, Windchill).
  • Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and ability to lead design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Master's degree in a related engineering or technical discipline.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Experience launching hardware products in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics).
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Hands-on experience supporting production line setups, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and ramp-ups.
