About The Position

You will be a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for overseeing the production of microwave hybrids, including the design of assembly techniques and materials. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have a deep understanding of all assembly techniques and materials used to produce microwave hybrids, including substrate and die epoxy attach, wire bonding, and other processes. Typical hours for Second shift are 3pm to 1:30am or 4pm to 2:30am. Initial training may take place on First shift. Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficient in gathering, organizing, and interpreting data using Excel, or similar software.
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Microwave Hybrid manufacturing experience, Design of Experiment experience, Lean/Six Sigma certification, J-STD-001 certification, Automated epoxy dispense & component placement, Automated Wire Bonding Equipment, and defense industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply your experience with J-STD-001 solder assembly, conductive epoxy.
  • Attach of substrates and semiconductor die, gold wedge and ball-bonding, and seal / hermeticity testing.
  • Design the sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tooling and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
  • Investigate hardware failures and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
