The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in either precision machining or direct medical device manufacturing. For those without prior medical device experience, high precision multi-axis machining experience and strong documentation skills are essential. The role requires expertise in machining processes, including CNC milling, CNC lathes, mill/turn, Swiss lathe, multi-tasking, grinding, and/or EDM. Additionally, candidates with medical device experience should be familiar with machining, electro-polishing, deburring, cleaning, and passivation processes. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to review solid models and develop effective manufacturing processes. Experience in designing tooling, fixturing, work holding devices, and process drawings using 3-D CAD software is crucial. Strong process development skills and a proven track record of launching new products are required. While previous experience in a highly automated and high-technology work environment is preferred, it is not mandatory. A minimum of an Associate's degree and five years of manufacturing engineering experience are essential qualifications. Familiarity with medical device and FDA regulations is preferred but not required. Strong documentation, communication, and project management skills are also necessary for success in this role.
