About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer / Mechatronics position at Jetseal Inc focuses on driving manufacturing improvement projects, particularly in mechatronic equipment development, processes, tooling, automation, and Lean methods. The role involves creating manufacturing instructions and equipment to meet customer requirements and production needs, while reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor. This is an in-office position based in Spokane Valley, WA, with a work schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Process Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting in lieu of an engineering degree.
• Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, and general engineering problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Excel, database development, process flow software, and CAD (Onshape/Solidworks).
• Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new hardware/software applications.
• Ability to write concise reports and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Sound understanding of engineering theory, design verification, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, machining, and quality production methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and implement equipment and processes to enhance the manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Prepare manufacturing methods and work instructions to document manufacturing requirements.
• Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop Best Practices and incorporate them into methods and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper equipment use.
• Interface with production planning and sales to meet schedules and obligations.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including covering for absences or balancing workload.
