About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will have responsibility for support and improvement activities in Plant 3 with focus on Housing Machining and Rack Grinding. This candidate applies engineering expertise to problem solving manufacturing issues to support part delivery for our customers.

Requirements

• Technical Degree or Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Systems.
• 2 years previous experience with ME tools and equipment design and build or equivalent Plant ME experience.
• OD Grinding Experience.
• CNC Machining Experience.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing machine, tool and die design.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls.
• Working knowledge of metal removal machining or precision grinding processes.
• Fanuc robot programming experience or open to learn.
• High level of analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (ie: Shainin/Six Sigma).
• Strong GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement continuous improvement and cost savings projects regarding Rack Machining Departments.
• Support Operations and Trades with plant equipment issues.
• Support product quality issues.
• Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects.
• Communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders: Mgmt, Engineering, Trades, OPS etc. to meet customer needs.
