As our Manufacturing Engineer IV, you’ll support HID’s success by: Optimizing setup of printing equipment through Design of Experiments (DOE) and other statistical analytical methods that characterize equipment functionality. Troubleshooting of equipment software and hardware issues affecting production orders. Coordinating production line set-up and machine upgrades with the responsible team members. Identifying Continuous Product Innovation (CPI) opportunities and sharing with Global teams. Creating Work Instructions for new products or updating them to improve overall manufacturability, followed by training of manufacturing personnel on the implemented changes. Working closely with material suppliers to develop product design specification requirements for new and revised parts and assemblies. Identifying opportunities for process and yielding improvements in support of work center production efficiencies and throughput. Developing equipment maintenance and calibration procedures. Collecting, analyzing, and creating reports from raw data (Yield, Cycle Time, Capability, Trends, etc.) Interfacing with Project Management, Customer Service, Suppliers, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations to develop value added process workflows and routings that reduce inefficiencies and non-conformances. Diagnosing and troubleshooting both electrical & mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment. Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action for field non-conformance issues. Creating and updating Bills of Materials (BoMs) through Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Supporting Value Engineering (VE) analysis projects to identify cost saving opportunities. Implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
