About The Position

Provide support to Manufacturing Engineering personnel as assigned. Work effectively as a M.E. support member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued. Help maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log. Design or specify assigned equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing. Assist with assigning default locators to parts within assigned manufacturing cells. Help update standard work instructions and assist with training as assigned. Help update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts, inventory, housekeeping, emergency, and security maps, etc.) Participate and help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives. (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, etc.) Participate with continuous improvement and team work. Conduct process observations as assigned to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be currently engaged in a 4-year engineering degree program
  • Experience with Auto CAD or UniGraphics
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be organizes, punctual , and professional
  • Able to walk, bend, climb, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
