About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will collaborate to support the Sales & Marketing Department for Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Proficiency in PowerBI software.
• Prior internship or relevant coursework in manufacturing engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Conduct analysis to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Assist in the design and implementation of quality control measures.
• Prepare documentation and reports to track project progress and outcomes.
