Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer Intern In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing plan development, full-rate production standup and support, and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production. This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day tasking will include working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
  • Previous experience (or expressed interest) working in an Operations role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in 'hands-on' applications of engineering and manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Member of the SME, SAE, ASME, or other similar technical organization
  • Design, build club/project experience (i.e., SAE Formula and Baja).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Previous manufacturing/operations experience
  • Prior experience in a related industry preferred.
