About The Position

Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work alongside manufacturing engineers to solve complex manufacturing problems, design/implement process improvements and launch equipment as we move our production into a brand-new production facility.

Requirements

  • Must be a student currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Must have ability to work 40 hours/week.
  • Strong desire to learn, be self-starting and have a hands-on approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with CAD software - AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in planning and executing equipment move.
  • Launching and validating production equipment.
  • Identify waste & utilize Lean methodologies to design/implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Assisting in improving welding process/material flow.
  • Designing improved packaging processes.
  • Creating standard work instructions
  • Layout design in AutoCAD.
  • Equipment design in SolidWorks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
