Available Shift: 1st shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Full-Time Summer 2026 Internship Competitive Weekly Pay Period Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern! The Manufacturing Engineering team under the Fuse Products Value Stream provides leadership and support on the definition of assembly processes for S&C's Fuse Products. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in assigned areas to develop, implement, maintain, and improve assembly processes. This will be done in collaboration with several teams including Product Engineering, Facilities, Quality Assurance, LPS, and Assembly. This position reports to the Manager - Manufacturing Engineering under Fuse Products Assembly.

Requirements

  • Be working toward a bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred)
  • A basic understanding of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience

Responsibilities

  • Creating assembly process definition tools including process flow diagrams, assembly process control plans, and assembly instruction specifications
  • Updating assembly process documentation on existing products as changes are made
  • Solving problems in assembly that are found to have root causes relating to the assembly processes
  • Analyzing work stations and responding to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
