About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting AAF International’s manufacturing processes and operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working closely with experienced engineers. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, principles, and methodologies is a plus.
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in manufacturing or engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collect and analyze data related to production metrics, including throughput, cycle time, and yield, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct root cause analysis of defects and develop corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.
  • Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project updates. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to achieve project objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
