About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern supports the key fundamentals of manufacturing; Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Reduction initiatives through process development and process improvement projects. This internship will begin on May 26, 2026 and end on August 14, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an Engineering program pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a two-year degree in Drafting and 3D Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the current engineering team with identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.
  • Develop manufacturing processes, standard work and create and maintain process documentation.
  • Support the layout of our new production line.
  • Actively deploy lean concepts throughout the organization.
  • Assist in analyzing, identifying, and resolving production line problems and lead problem-solving groups.
  • Develop and maintain production line layouts and jigs/fixtures.
  • Effectively communicate and work with Design Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs and detailing meet the requirements of the project.
  • Communicate equipment, jig, process, and product changes proactively.
  • Communicate with vendors to quote and procure components and equipment.
