About The Position

During your internship at TEL, you will become an integral part of a small manufacturing engineering team dedicated to enhancing the manufacturing processes of semiconductor capital equipment. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in developing new processes, improving existing ones, and optimizing overall manufacturing efficiency. As an intern, you will engage in problem-solving efforts and coordinate quality notifications that arise from both the production floor and customer feedback. You will also collaborate closely with production teams and field service personnel on various assigned projects, ensuring that all documentation and production processes are accurately released and maintained. This internship is structured to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing engineering field, particularly within the semiconductor industry. You will be expected to work in a Class I semiconductor clean room, which will require adherence to strict safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment. The role may involve physical demands such as working in confined spaces, awkward positions, and lifting or carrying objects up to 35 pounds. Additionally, you may need to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, crawling, or climbing, depending on the project requirements. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factories, training facilities, and customer locations may also be necessary, providing you with a broader perspective on the industry and the company's operations.
