About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating both new and existing manufacturing systems within industrial production processes. This role involves a comprehensive analysis of human work factors, material flow, cost analysis, and process optimization, with a focus on enhancing efficiency in both production and packaging operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or science related.
  • At least 4-6 years of related experience.
  • A thorough understanding of line design flow principles and practices, lean manufacturing and the ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience using Excel as an analytical tool is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions or complex inquiries from groups of employees, managers and internal customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at functional and strategic levels simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated planning and tracking skills and strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Must have demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration and teaming.
  • Proven influence, leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Analytical problem solver.
  • Strong time management skills (schedules, timelines, and task prioritization).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute projects to evaluate and optimize manufacturing techniques and procedures, enhancing overall plant efficiency.
  • Develop innovative manufacturing methods and labor standards to improve resource utilization.
  • Analyze operational processes and workflows to define roles and responsibilities, ensuring effective material flow.
  • Maintain labor and equipment capacity models to optimize resource allocation.
  • Design specialized data collection and reporting tools for nonstandard manufacturing processes.
  • Employ advanced statistical methods to assess manufacturing processes and determine staffing needs.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Utilize analytical problem-solving and structured decision-making skills to address operational challenges.
