About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering initiatives to support products, processes, materials, and equipment used to achieve operational goals. This role is responsible for updating existing processes to drive improvements and/or implementing new manufacturing processes across multiple product lines, while collaborating with quality assurance, production, product development, and project management teams to accomplish organizational objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing problem solving, data analysis, and production flow tools (i.e. LEAN manufacturing)
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement creative solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience with electrochemical process
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience with Windchill and/or MES

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the performance of equipment and processes to troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other issues related to production and product quality
  • Planning and prioritizing daily work to meet production and project goals; anticipate risks and address unexpected challenges
  • Applying problem solving and process improvement methodologies to complex manufacturing processes to resolve issues across multiple product lines
  • Training and providing work direction to manufacturing operators and technicians
  • Identifying and escalating quality signals to ensure alignment with the quality system requirements
  • Leading projects with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Work collaboratively with divisional customer teams (e.g. PD, R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to deliver new product introductions, change management, process improvements, and business continuity projects
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to interpret and report findings to peers and leadership
  • Work with vendors/suppliers on technical design, procurement, and fabrication of materials, equipment, fixturing, etc.
  • Identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities; communicate with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
