As a Manufacturing Engineer II at Pursuit Aerospace, you will utilize your engineering expertise to enhance manufacturing processes and drive quality and cost efficiency in aerospace operations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot challenges, implement continuous improvements, and mentor early-career engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development.

  • Independently develop and refine manufacturing process plans, specifying sequences, equipment, tooling, and techniques to ensure efficiency and compliance with specifications.
  • Design, document, and optimize CNC programs to achieve high-quality, cost-effective production.
  • Serve as a key technical liaison with customers to address and resolve issues or requests, including blueprint clarifications and engineering changes.
  • Lead tooling design and procurement initiatives to maximize manufacturing efficiency while controlling costs.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Own and drive process improvements to enhance first-pass yield and reduce downtime.
  • Analyze and recommend new equipment and machinery to improve quality, productivity, and operational cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical leadership in continuous improvement programs and actively mentor junior engineers.
  • Prepare cost estimates for products, tooling, equipment, and processes to support pricing and production planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and machine settings.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to early-career engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development within the team.
  • Maintain compliance with Pursuit Aerospace's quality systems, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, tooling design, and advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with large mechanical or hydraulic presses, impellers, or blisks is a plus.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customers.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Office tools.
