Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile, and combat systems. An opportunity exists for a mechanical/manufacturing engineer to join the SAW Factory team responsible for production of microelectronic assemblies. This is a 2nd shift position, which includes an 8% added pay differential. Provide microelectronic hardware operations engineering support to the SAW Module Microelectronics Assembly Area, with a focus on process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and the introduction of new hybrid electronic modules to production. Individuals will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, and SPC implementation and process data analysis.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Knowledge of RF Microelectronic products
  • Experience with the manufacturing processes and transition to production of new products and processes to support volume manufacturing
  • Experience with supporting a microelectronics assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Experience supporting and programming Wire and Ribbon bonding equipment
  • Experience supporting and programming Die attach and Dispense equipment.
  • Working Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-STD-883
  • Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
  • Adaptability to varying work assignments.
  • Active DoD Clearance (Secret)

  • Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
  • Programming for manufacturing automation
  • Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
  • Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.

  • Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
