Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. You will develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and Raytheon systems and tools. Mechanical Engineers build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Test Fixture design and drawing package development
  • 1+ years of experience in AutoCAD or equivalent software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing and troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis
  • Experience with interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience with project execution

Responsibilities

  • Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
  • Improve cycle time and lead time
  • Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
  • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
  • Perform hardware defect analysis
  • Design and fabricate Test Fixtures and Test Stations
  • Experience taking complex measurements with different measurement tools
  • Develop Test Fixture and Test Station drawing packages
