About The Position

The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a related engineering or technology field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering or technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors.
  • Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare manufacturing plans, create and maintain manufacturing bill of materials, and create and maintain process instruction set.
  • Conduct support studies and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations.
  • Assign work to technical writers and/or technicians.
  • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing products and make modifications and improvements as needed.
  • Compile and evaluate product design and test data.
  • Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products.
  • Utilize working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.
