Your opportunity: As a Manufacturing Engineer II or Sr. for Greenheck Group you will optimize factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design. Responsible for mentoring and training other team members.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
  • CAD skills required.
  • 2 Year / associate degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • General fluency in SAP.
  • Experience with Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures.
  • Investigate, purchase, and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Recognize, recommend and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Implement changes with product design engineering.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout and machinery efficiency.
  • Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.
  • Expected to complete internal Lean Leader certification.
  • Will provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing and product engineering.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
