About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer II position at RTX Corporation involves providing Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory in Andover, MA. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3.
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience supporting circuit card assembly production floor with a process and/or quality focus.
  • Specialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development).
  • Experience with automated equipment and programming.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and techniques.
  • Experience in DFMA principles.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory.
  • Support the operation of Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Router, and Mechanical Assembly lines.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and establish process baseline metrics.
  • Conduct process data analysis and defect prevention activities.
  • Create and oversee projects using risk management techniques.
  • Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments.
  • Develop tools and fixtures to drive ergonomics and reduce costs or defects.
