About The Position

Rubbercraft is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I who supports the development and improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This entry-level role assists in implementing best practices, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations. The position provides hands-on experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives under guidance from senior engineers. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Experience: 0–2 years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience (internships or co-op experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling concepts.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to CAD software for simple fixture design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MRP systems is a plus.

  • This position requires using information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. Responsibilities

  • Process Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining work instructions, manufacturing routers, and related documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives to reduce waste and improve workflow.
  • Troubleshooting: Help identify and resolve basic process and product issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers.
  • Tooling Support: Contribute to the design and maintenance of simple fixtures and jigs under supervision.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Design Engineering and Operations to ensure manufacturability of products.
  • New Product Support: Participate in new product introduction activities, including basic process setup and testing.
  • Training Assistance: Provide technical support to production teams and assist in training on updated processes.
  • Compliance: Follow ITAR regulations and company standards for safety and quality.
