About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering initiatives to support products, processes, materials, and equipment used to achieve operational goals. This role is responsible for updating existing processes to drive improvements and/or implementing new manufacturing processes across multiple product lines, while collaborating with quality assurance, production, product development, and project management teams to accomplish organizational objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline
  • Intern or co-op level engineering experience
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methods, basic statistical tools, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement creative solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience in an FDA/ISO regulated environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization across diverse teams
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience with document control software
  • Experience with Minitab, SQL, Solidworks

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the performance of equipment and processes to troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other issues related to production and product quality
  • Collaborating with manufacturing operators and technicians to plan and prioritize daily work and meet production and project goals; anticipate risks and address unexpected challenges
  • Applying problem solving methodologies to address manufacturing issues related to equipment, processes, and scrap
  • Identifying and escalating quality signals to ensure alignment with the quality system requirements
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to support projects and achieve common business goals
  • Collaborating with divisional customer teams (PD, R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, other) to deliver new product introductions, change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to interpret and report findings to peers and management
  • Identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities; communicate with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
