Manufacturing Engineer I at TSI Provides support and problem resolution to the production floor. Plan, document and implement production methods and processes to facilitate the timely and efficient manufacture of quality products. Review new product designs to ensure the products are manufacturable and cost effective. Coordinate, as part of a project team, the introduction of new products to the production floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or technical related field required.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Production floor support/problem resolution and methods engineering
  • Make suggestions and incorporate changes to improve the workflow in the assigned value streams.
  • Communicate effectively with personnel from widely varied backgrounds
  • New product review, coordination and introduction to the production floor
  • Establish and document efficient manufacturing processes / methods using but not limited to Bills of Materials, Routings, Visual Work Instructions, PFMEA's, ECO's and Control Plans
  • Ability to read complex schematics, blueprints, CAD drawings
  • Fixture and tooling design and improvements
  • Participate on cross-functional project teams that require coordinating with staff from engineering, quality, production, and purchasing
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Cost analysis
  • Cost reduction and avoidance
  • Introduce and maintain best practices on the manufacturing floor including Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.
  • Training of production personnel
  • Work on multiple assignments concurrently and prioritize based on importance and urgency
  • Ability to employ sound judgment with little or no supervision
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office tools, SAP, and be a resource for others
  • Completes other assignments requested
