About The Position

As an experienced manufacturing engineer, you will be supporting the assembly operations of the Airbus A220/E2 Nacelle systems. You will be responsible for learning the fundamentals necessary to optimize the performance of a wide range of tasks and services in support of assembly operations, production, and business unit objectives. You will have the opportunity to participate in the design and arrangement of machines, tooling, and sequence of operations to ensure configuration compliance. This position will work onsite in Foley, AL. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in robotics and automation.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP system.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Red X).
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, and manage resources along with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience using 3D modeling software (Autocad, Solidworks, CAD, or CatiaV5)

Responsibilities

  • Implement process upgrades by applying various engineering applications such as robotics and automation.
  • Ensure sequence on manufacturing process and product builds, is followed, and complies with EH&S and Quality requirements.
  • Own the creation and maintain manufacturing process documents (routings, BOM, Visual aids, Std work, etc).
  • Drive problem solving initiatives and challenge status QUO (C/A Investigations, OEE, FPY, Customer escapes).
  • Participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs during fabrication.
  • Travel domestic and internationally up to 10%.
