Join our team at Terex/Genie in a hands-on manufacturing engineering role focused on Operational Technology (OT) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) support. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys solving production problems, improving processes, and working at the intersection of equipment, controls, data, and operations. At Terex / Genie we believe in fostering a vibrant and inclusive work culture where every person is empowered to thrive. We're dedicated to driving quality, innovation, embracing diversity, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. We're committed to excellence in everything we do, and we're seeking talented individuals who share our passion and values to join our team. What You'll Do: Support plant-floor OT and MES-related systems used to monitor, control, and improve manufacturing operations. Assist with the implementation, configuration, and support of connected manufacturing equipment, operator interfaces, and production data systems. Help troubleshoot production issues involving PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, device communications, and connectivity between equipment and manufacturing applications. Work with manufacturing, controls, maintenance, and IT partners to improve uptime, data accuracy, traceability, and process visibility across production lines. Participate in the installation and sequencing of machines, workstations, tools, parts, and supplies to optimize production flow and support system integration efforts. Assist in maintaining and improving PLC/HMI applications and related OT devices used in manufacturing processes, building on the original role’s focus on PLC/HMI programming, debugging, and maintenance. Gather and analyze process and production information including cycle times, downtime events, quality trends, test results, and system performance to support continuous improvement and problem solving. Support small-scale projects related to equipment connectivity, production monitoring, manufacturing data collection, error-proofing, and digital manufacturing improvements. Help create and maintain documentation such as I/O lists, network layouts, process flow diagrams, work instructions, schematics, and support documentation, aligning with the original posting’s emphasis on I/O lists, schematics, panel design, and technical writing. Collaborate with design, project, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve engineering-related production and systems issues. Participate in cross-functional meetings that support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the overall objectives of the position.
