About The Position

The Gas Turbine Test Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting the Full-Speed No-Load (FSNL) Gas Turbine Test operations within the Greenville SC Gas Turbine Factory. This position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing mechanical process systems to support gas turbine testing. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate test processes that align with business goals, support configuration management, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) or 2-year Technical Degree with at least 2 years of experience in a technical field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with attention to detail and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gas turbine testing, instrumentation, or control systems preferred.
  • Mechanical Focus with plant Equipment Maintenance Experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute gas turbine and system-level test activities, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements.
  • Analyze test data to validate turbine performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the development of process equipment preventative maintenance procedures and equipment maintenance schedules to ensure the test facilities are always ready to perform a gas turbine test.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical lead engineer and other functional areas to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in long-term planning initiatives to enhance testing capability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Maintain all Mechanical/Process systems to support the testing of multiple frame size gas turbines.
  • Support all departments to ensure the test stands are maintained and in good operating condition to perform quality Gas Turbine tests.
  • Work around High Pressure/ High Temp Process Systems.
  • Work around/on High Voltage AC/DC systems.
