About The Position

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Spare Engineering team is seeking an Experienced Level Manufacturing Engineer to support our team in Seal Beach, CA. Position Responsibilities: Perform ME responsibilities (i.e. interpret drawings, 3D models, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure manufacturability & producibility of metal, plastic and composite parts) Building technical data packages for use by suppliers for fabrication Plan and perform engineering analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirements Work closely with Team Leads to assist and mentor other team members Work with team members from various functions (e.g. design, stress, M&P, tooling, supplier management and procurement to support customer needs Work and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are met Develop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency Experience in plastic, metal, or/and composite manufacturing processes, policies and procedures Experience with handling tooling issues and design changes Being able to interpret and apply Industry/Company Standards & Processes Some tools to be familiar with are SAP, REDARS, PDM and other manufacturing industry engineering tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Able to support 2nd and/or 3rd shift

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in commercial aircraft environment
  • 5+ years of experience in Production or Spares
