Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer (F-35) - Intern. In this role, you will be working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of thriving in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working in a production environment with operators. Be self-motivated, take initiative, and have strong work ethic. Have a learning and continuous improvement attitude. Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
  • Previous experience (or expressed interest) working in an Operations role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint
