About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics Fabrication, Level 2) for the Missiles & Fire Control Manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for developing and supporting manufacturing processes for electrical components within the MFC electrical shop. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics Fabrication, Level 2) you will be responsible for delivering robust, repeatable processes that enable high‑quality wiring and harness assemblies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop and support manufacturing processes for wiring and harness assemblies. Create and maintain work instructions and task lists. Develop rework/repair instructions based on quality notifications. Participate in design and producibility reviews and drive process improvements. Validate new equipment and processes, and collaborate with shop‑floor, quality, and program teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited college.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Technical Writing.
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and translate into work instructions.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Process Improvement experience
  • Experience creating manufacturing plans and work instructions
  • This facility requires special access; therefore, you must be a US Citizen.
  • Have an existing clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Standards (AS 91000 / AS9102), IPC, J-STD, and MIL-STSD specifications
  • Experience with disposition of non-conforming products and with root cause/corrective action definition.
  • Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.
  • Ability to liaison between Production
  • SAP ERP Experience
  • Windchill PLM Experience.
