Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a full-time Early Career Manufacturing Engineer for a position within the Aeronautics Business Area. Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full-rate production standup and support, and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production. This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day tasking will include working with design engineers and shop floor personnel to support production of our various platforms. Strong communication skills – written and verbal – are required to successfully interface with various departments within Aeronautics. Must be a US Citizen. This position is at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
  • Previous experience (or expressed interest) working in an Operations role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint
